Bees are a buzzing!
The bees made it through their first winter. Here are the worker bees, pollen sacs loaded with gold and orange...just the other day they were a bluish purple! I was hoping to get a picture of that, but they must have found another source of pollen/nectar, as they were all doning orange and gold today.

Happy Spring!
today on the equinox of spring, the queen bee will start laying eggs once again. she knows that by the time her larva are ready to take wing there will be food to eat and warmer weather to forage in! hard to believe on a day like this!
