That roof is more ancient than old. Hehehe. Yeah, seeing something like this go is truly sad. But at the end of the day, the roof will look as beautiful as new, and the good thing is that beauty will last for generations. Good luck on the rest of the restoration, you guys. :)
I like your point, Mary. That was probably a somber day, but sometimes all you can do is move forward and go with the times, as is the same with life. A new roof would be a new start – a rebirth, if you will. Plus, it does feel more reassuring to have a sturdy, new roof above your head!
I bet that roof served its purpose well. :) Hmm, may I ask how long that roof lasted? It seems that the roof was really in bad condition. Anyway, were you able to replace it with a new one? If so, I would like to see some pictures!
